The Terreiro de Moisés is an elliptical square located between the top of the staircases and the Adro do Bom Jesus. It was designed by Carlos Amarante and completed in 1925. The chapels of the Via Sacra of Bom Jesus, the Elevation, and the Descent stand within this square. The back of the square is adorned by the Pelican Fountain.
