The Basilica of Our Lady of the Martyrs (Basílica de Nossa Senhora dos Mártires) located in Chiado, baroque style architecture, very onate, this Catholic church parish was established in 1147, the original chapel was totally devastated by the 1755 earthquake, the current structure was reconstructed in 1769.

A beautiful church in the heart of Lisbon. I was surprised that it was open at 3:00pm in the afternoon and the Blessed Sacrament exposed for a duration. Beautiful!
