Perhaps only here in San Giovanni can you feel the atmosphere of faith and prayer... in this old church, St. Padre Pio heard confessions... there's his altar, his confessional. The basilica next door is something else entirely, so worldly, a bit of a show-off, and that modern hall below... oh my.
