Evangelical Reformed church with a lot of history and beautiful stained-glass window. Right in the valley of grapes and vineyards. Visiting, reflecting, watching, learning, undoing, an entire journey of the mind and spirit. No matter what your belief is.
Was closed when we got there but still is good to see old architecture in a small town like this. We'd encountered the church while walking to the Aigle Castle. It's a quiet place so if you looking for a peaceful sightseeing, this is where you should go.
Located at the foot of the castle, formerly known as the Church of Saint-Maurice, the Romanesque Cloister Church of Aigle was probably built during the 12th century. The Cloister Church is included in the list of Swiss cultural properties classified as being of national importance. A must-see before or after a visit to Aigle Castle.
