Built in the 16th century, this building was used as a convent by the Discalced Carmelites, using a blend of Renaissance and Baroque styles. The church was used as a burial place for Alhama's upper classes. It was completed in the 18th century, with some of its chapels finished in a Churrigueresque Baroque style.
