It's been extensively restored. I like its Mudéjar style.
Originally a 13th-century Mudejar church, it was extensively renovated in the 16th century and recently radically restored. Mudejar with a rectangular apse, three-nave floor plan, brick tower, and pointed doorway.
On my trip from Pontevedra, I found it closed, but more importantly: on June 18, 1466, Villalpando made a vow to the Immaculate Conception, the first town in the world to do so! And it was dedicated to the Lord in 1996. How wonderful!
