The church of Santa Eugenia de Villegas is another of those Gothic constructions with a fortified feel and monumental proportions. It was built on the remains of an earlier Romanesque structure, from which it reused its south doorway with four semicircular archivolts, two now-blocked windows, and the perimeter wall.
