The hermitage itself appears to be abandoned, but the views of the city are beautiful and well worth the climb. By car, it involves a long detour and a dirt road, but it's not difficult. It's supposed to be possible to walk up the hill as well, but we couldn't find the path, and Google Maps doesn't show it.
Beautiful route. We climbed up a steep, rocky path behind the village church. It's worth it just to reach the top and see the views. On the way down, we took a flatter path suitable for cars. Beautiful views throughout the entire route.
Here in this place the town of Meià was built. This place was conquered from the Saracens who had a fortress up here of which you can still see a fairly ruined tower next to it. You can see the ruins of the houses from past times because …
