The monastery of Saint Benedict is located on the left bank of the Ave River, in the city of Santo Tirso. The current parent church was built in 1659 - 79. It is located on an important route of Caminho de Santiago. The area around is beautiful.

Great and imponent monastery. Very beautifull. Reccomend a visit

Interesting place. Beautiful church. However, really small. Also not a lot of accesible information for the more curious about history, making this a very quick 30 minutes visit, and thus the trip from other city just to see this becomes hard to justify. Nonetheless, if it's in your path or close, definitely worth checking out.
