Igreja Matriz de Amareleja
Largo da Igreja 29, 7885-080 Amareleja, Portugal
Igreja Matriz de Amareleja is a catholic church located in Barrancos.
This church is unique because an olive tree has grown on its roof. It sprouted from the church's moss, and later they decided to create a flowerbed for it. It's beautiful and features prominently on the village's festival covers.
Possibly the only religious building in the world that has an olive tree on its wall.
