Beautiful church which was transformed after the conquest of the city to the moors. Some moorish elements are still present. Right now this church is undergoing restoration work. Wish to see it back soon!

This church, founded in 1154 by the Knights Templar, retains only tombstones and a few graves from its original Gothic style. Various reconstructions over the centuries have given it a Mannerist and Neoclassical character. Located in Largo da Alcáçova, directly opposite the Portas do Sol garden, it is a place well worth a visit.
