Ruiny kościoła ewangelickiego w Grodkowie
Chopina 6, 49-200 Grodków, Poland
Ruiny kościoła ewangelickiego w Grodkowie is a church located in Grodków.
The church was built in 1846 of brick, in the Neo-Romanesque style. After the war, it was used by Catholics, then for several years it was used by a few evangelicals, until it was finally completely forgotten. In the 1980s, an attempt was made to renovate the church, but it ended with the roof being dismantled.
The church is a piece of Grodków's history. It's a shame you can't go inside.
As a ruin, it's probably even more impressive than before its destruction. However, the gates leading inside are locked. It's a shame. It could be an interesting attraction if it were secured against danger, even for a wedding photoshoot. An audio guide was also recorded for this structure years ago, before its destruction.
