The parish priest refused to give me Communion in the hand. He also makes the Masses very long with additional prayers that take place immediately after the blessing, not after the closing hymn. It's awkward to leave the church then. That's why the Masses last over an hour...

The parish priest is one of the few priests who administers Holy Communion respectfully, i.e., not in the hand. Priests wash their fingers after each contact with the Most Holy Body of the Lord Jesus! And how is the faithful supposed to do this? God bless them for such an attitude.
