P.W.św.Michała Archanioła.i Orthodox Cemetery. : Cisna, Poland

Near the tourist shelter in Zawoj, there is a cemetery and an Orthodox church. Like all destroyed Orthodox churches and displaced villages, it provokes reflection. It is worth visiting this place and all similar ones, so that the memory at least survives. The approach to the Orthodox church itself is very steep.

I love wandering through the ruins of vanished villages and learning about their history. For me, it's a place worth visiting. You can feel the spirit of those times here, and realize the great harm done to these people.

The ascent is a bit steep, but short. It's worth a visit. The remains of an Orthodox church, a cemetery with several tombstones, a huge beech tree, and an information board detailing the history of the site are all thought-provoking.
