The museum is located in the oldest part of the city, on the Market Square. It's housed in the historic Town Hall building, famous for housing the first lightning rod installed in Greater Poland. You can see exhibits related to the region's …
The museum isn't large, but it's worth a visit. For 10 złoty, you can hire a guide who will explain the collection. Also worth seeing are the Greater Poland bagpipes, the crafts hall, and the marksmen's fraternity hall. The square surrounding the town hall museum is also beautiful.
A pleasant surprise. I'm very impressed by the charming market square, along with the beautifully preserved museum and other buildings, in this unassuming town. The museum itself is worth a visit if you're looking for historical curiosities (mainly military ones)—not just for Rawicz residents. I highly recommend it.
