The chapel was erected in 1935 in the settlement of Zawiść, a hamlet of the village of Tychy. Today, without having been relocated, it stands almost in the city center, in North Park. A recess was carved into the plinth on which the Cross with the figure of Christ was placed, and a figure of the Virgin Mary was placed within it.
