Kaplica św. Wojciecha
Czarnieckiego 4, 59-400 Jawor, Poland
Kaplica św. Wojciecha is a chapel located in Powiat jaworski.
Built in the 14th century as a synagogue for the local Jewish community, it was converted into a Catholic church almost 80 years later, following the expulsion of Jews from the city. Following reconstruction in the 18th century, it lost its characteristic architectural features of a synagogue. It currently serves as a baptismal chapel.
A Baroque structure with medieval origins, it was once home to a synagogue built in 1364. In 1438, with the consent of King Albert II, the synagogue was converted into a Roman Catholic church. It currently serves as a baptismal chapel.
