The parish church, built in the late 13th century, is a hall-shaped, three-nave brick Gothic structure in the form of a pseudo-basilica. It was almost completely destroyed during World War II. Reconstruction was completed in 1993. For approximately 50 years, it lay in ruins. It is well worth a visit.
A beautiful church. Unfortunately, the view from the square is obscured by a frontage of hideous buildings that look as if they were built specifically to obscure the church.
