Visited on a group trip on 08/31/2025 between Peccioli, Ghizzano and Volterra. Interesting example of Pisan Romanesque dedicated to the Provençal saint Verano who, in the 6th century while passing through Rome, performed the miracle of stopping the plague epidemic in the town.

Pieve di Peccioli. The interior appears somewhat modernized, despite the church's age. The façade, however, has retained its original style, as has the bell tower that stands over Peccioli's central square.
