The church, destroyed during the Marsica earthquake in 1915, was rebuilt in its current location in 1927. Of the original church, only the eighteenth-century portal, dated 1720, and the marble altar remain.

On the road leading to Scanno is the parish church of Villetta, dating back to the 20th century but preserving elements of the earlier building, such as the portal and Baroque altar. It usually opens only for religious services on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and on other days only at 6:00 p.m.
