During a brief visit to Fonzaso (BL) for a photography exhibition, we didn't miss a short detour to the Eremo de San Micèl, accessible from the quiet town center with clear signage and a moderate, initially steep climb. This picturesque spot offers a majestic view of the valley west of Feltre.

A beautiful hike of about 30 minutes to the hermitage. It's uphill, but since it's short, it's doable even for those who aren't very fit. From the top, there's a view of the village and the surrounding areas.

Although the signage indicates a 15-minute walk, the steep path takes half an hour. Once you reach the top, the view of Fonsazo is breathtaking. The hermitage and the small church are well preserved, but can only be visited from the outside. It's a shame they should be better displayed. Not suitable for strollers.
