In this convent, Padre Pio spent about a month as a student of moral theology. His stay is certain, based on the testimony of his fellow students. The cell where Padre Pio lived was destroyed by the severe Irpinia earthquake. It was rebuilt on the lower floor, with his bed and desk recovered after the quake.

An ascetic place, but with traces of a past certainly more flourishing than today's. Simplicity and Christianity are palpable, but the solitude evoked made me feel sad. The small museum, which houses artifacts from the life of Saint Pio, is beautiful and well-kept.
