I visited this basilica during a short trip to Canzo in early November. The church is in Baroque style and is located in the center of the town. It is medium-large in size and has interesting frescoes. The atmosphere is perhaps a little dark.

This beautiful church, nicknamed Gesa Granda by the locals, was built in the early 1700s but has origins dating back to the 1400s. The frescoes, more or less all from the early 1900s, have a central nave and four minor altars. It also has good acoustics, which are especially appreciated for singing without instruments.
