The church of Saint Mary may be small but the restored detail outdoes anything you'll see in the Milan Duomo. Divine location as close to heaven as it gets! Once you read the history there's a realisation of the privilege we had in visiting.

Beautiful church at the top of Varese. Frescos in this Romanic temple are breathtaking. The church is in this UNESCO complex, all worth to visit. Get comfortable shoes as you will be walking up and down hills of this historical town.
