A beautiful Cistercian abbey in the center of Chiaravalle, with a Romanesque exterior and a sober, austere Gothic interior. Rich in history, it contributed to the development of the area and the birth of the current town.

A very beautiful and evocative abbey in the center of Chiaravalle (AN), with convenient parking. The brick exterior retains its original Romanesque structure, while the very simple Gothic interior, apart from some Baroque additions to the side altars, is a shame. The adjoining cloister, however, deserves restoration and maintenance.
