The first Norman cathedral in Sicily, built in the eleventh century by Count Roger, stands 1120 m above sea level, and offers a fantastic view from the square.
It's an interesting church. It's a shame there's no panel illustrating the church's history, and there are no captions for the paintings on all the side altars. The 16th-century crucifix is truly noteworthy.
A beautiful cathedral, the first Norman cathedral in Sicily, a sacred building founded in the 11th century by Count Roger on the ruins of the ancient castle.
