Chiesa di San Marcello
38012 Dardine, Autonomous Province of Trento, Italy
Chiesa di San Marcello is a catholic church located in Sfruz.
A very small church with very well-preserved frescoes inside. The wooden altarpiece is truly beautiful. It depicts the Madonna and Child between Saints Vigilius and Marcello and dates to the late 1400s. For more detailed information, I recommend visiting the webpage "Ancient Treasures in the Non Valley," edited by Piergiorgio Comai.
Facing east and built in the center of the small village of Dardine, the delightful little church of San Marcello dates back to the 14th-15th centuries, although the presence of a first place of worship, not far from the current building, …
A masterpiece of the Trentino Renaissance. The interior is entirely frescoed by the Baschenis family, with vibrant, yet still vivid, colors.
