This ancient chapel was the civic and religious hub of the Lombard population that settled in the area. First mentioned in 1262, some historians believe it predates the year 1000. The main façade features a fresco of Saint George on horseback. Currently privately owned (open to visitors).

A little church that reminds me of my childhood (65 years ago) with the Feast of San Giorgio on April 23rd. Beautiful memories. It's a shame about the setting and its near-abandoned state. Someone should think about it (FAI, Lyons, etc.)
