It is located in the historic center of Gambatesa, opposite the Capua Castle. With three naves, it features a vaguely Renaissance style. The church is dedicated to Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, the patron saint of Gambatesa, whose feast day is celebrated on August 24th with a procession and a band (which is, by the way, very good).

The beautiful bell tower is clearly visible from the road leading to the temple. The interior of the church dates back to the 18th century, and I was struck by the many side altars built by various benefactors, particularly the altar of San Bartolomeo, commissioned by the village's migrants.
