The church stands opposite the Carmelite Monastery of the Retreat. It is not well-known, but it is very ancient; its original structure dates back to the 14th century, and was significantly modified after the 1693 earthquake. In 1750, it was improved and decorated by Pompeo Picherali.

I'm giving it 4 stars not only because the church needs to be renovated but also because of the inexplicable closure of one part of it and the huge painting at the back right!
