Construction of the church began in the early 20th century and is dedicated to the island's patron saints. The interior has a single nave and, in addition to the main nave, there are altars dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to the Virgin "Stella Maris," and to Saint Anthony of Padua.

Unfortunately, it became famous after the Costa Concordia shipwreck, as it was one of the first places where survivors gathered. In the church, you can see what remains of the items from the cruise ship's chapel.
