While the Basilica di Sant'Andrea gets the accolades for architectural purity, the Duomo (Cathedral of St. Peter) is fascinating for the exact opposite reason: it is a mishmash of styles, a "Frankenstein" of a building that tells the story of Mantua’s changing tastes over a thousand years.

I nearly missed it as didn’t look so attractive from outside. When I got inside was a wonderful surprise 😃🙏🏼 Incredible how much work has been put it inside! I would love to go back with more time 😃😍 …
