Cappella di Sant'Eldrado di Novalesa
10050 Novalesa, Metropolitan City of Turin, Italy
Cappella di Sant'Eldrado di Novalesa is a church located in Novalesa.
It was built in the early decades of the 11th century. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful of the four chapels in the Novalesa Abbey complex. …
This chapel alone is worth a visit to Novalesa Abbey. The frescoes are marvelous, and have been preserved to this day, despite the vicissitudes of this abbey complex as it prepares to celebrate its 1300th anniversary in 2026. Visits are by appointment only and are free. A donation may be made at the end of the tour.
Certainly the most interesting medieval frescoes in the Susa Valley and among the most beautiful in the region.
