The church is very old and also contains the burial vault of Marsilio dei Carraresi, one of the Lords of Padua, who ruled the city during the Middle Ages. The church is very characteristic and is set in a beautiful parish setting.

A small, simple, and charming abbey church. The very high wooden ceilings indicate and demonstrate its age. The walls are plain and almost devoid of frescoes. In front of the altar is a stage with a beautiful pipe organ.
