Loved the winding alleys, taking off from the main street and leading to the front of quaint, picturesque cottages. Bougainvilleas greeting you at every turn and you keep walking up and down in the wonderful labyrinth of the town. Very beautiful, even more beautiful if you get to visit on a bright sunny day.
The term castle is deceptive, as this structure, once a large palace-like home, is now a multi home redevelopment and partial ruin. Visitors walk up along narrow, painted pathways, with only a few small signs for directions. The views are lovely, and for walkers with an hour or two to fill it's an interesting area to explore.
Loved the twisty streets. Don't worry about signs you'll find the tower just keep going upwards. …
