Perfect place to do a FULL MOON hike. At midnight the path is visible enough to walk without flashlights. You can even see your own shadow at night!! At some places might be tricky to follow it, because of bigger stones, just look for clearly walked path and you will be fine. The night view of Heraklion is amazing!
