The monastery was destroyed during the Turkish occupation, when the Turks burned it and proceeded to massacre 100 monks. Many relics were found, which probably date back to the 15th century. A beautiful and hospitable monastery that is worth visiting.

The Holy Monastery of Agia Paraskevi is wonderful! We caught vespers, although we didn't stay until the end... About 25 km from Livadia. At some point a dirt road starts, but there is no problem. Visit it!
