This fortress is absolute stunning and the view up here is the best in Kavala. We was here in the beginning of July and i likes view and the fortress so much. The fortress i very small and it dosen’t take more than 20 minutes to walk around. You could also see the oldtown up here and that was one of om my best pictures ever taken.

The Kavala Fortress was rebuilt on earlier Byzantine foundations by the Ottomans. Situated in the Old Town district, it offers panoramic views of the city and the Aegean Sea. To reach the fortress, you have to walk up a hill, so it’s best to do this on days that aren’t too hot.
