This ancient church of Agios Nikolaos, is the reason that the city has this name. Church is inside the hotel… key you can get it from reception but of course if you know this info… luckily we got informed from the monk in Areti monastery.

Stayed in Minos Palace and found this small, original old church. Didn’t get to go in and explore what’s inside but it’s lovely.

Extremely small church which is closed. Although local people said that it's possible to take keys and open it in order to pray, but nobody said from whom to take them. You can come to this church from 2 sides: one is closer to the beach …
