Nice monastery in the hills. Pretty easy to get up to - we went in big taxi. Quiet, pretty church, lush trees, gardens. Sadly a bit of earthquake damage. Museum and shop were closed.

Free admission to the monastery and church. Doesn't seem to get busy, so it is possible to enjoy the peace and retiring tranquillity of the entire site. Sadly, we didn't see any monks unless they were disguised like tourists. Also, no plain clothed monkey business or monkeying around, which would have left monk clues.
