The Augsburg Cathedral was a great visit. The mix of very old and newer parts makes it interesting to explore, and the famous stained‑glass windows are beautiful to see up close. The inside feels calm and peaceful, and the whole place has a strong sense of history. We really enjoyed walking through it. It is free of charge to enter.
As one of the most ancient churches in Germany, the beautiful Cathedral is worth seeing.
It is impossible to express the atmosphere with words. Everyone must feel it for themselves. It's very old and massive cathedral not very far from city hall. It is home to oldest surviving stained glass. The paintings with some dating back to 11th century are authentic. Be aware that it closes at 6.
