The old part of the parish church was built in 1888-1890 according to plans by the architect Caspar Clemens Pickel in the neo-Gothic style. The new building, consecrated in 1973, was not integrated into the old church space, but was constructed below it as a new church space, connected to the old church by an intermediate wing.
