An 18th-century church was completely destroyed in the great fire of Pleystein in 1901. The current church was subsequently built in the Neo-Gothic style and consecrated in 1905. The nave is simple. The carved main altar in the choir depicts, among other things, the life of St. Sigismund, to whom the church is dedicated.

The view from the Rosenquartsfelsen church is beautiful. You could see the church from the inside. and the green area outside was beautiful. Unfortunately we had the feeling that Pleystein was extinct. There would be no people watching. Very worth seeing.
