We stayed there for one night, planning to climb Hochfelln the next day. A very friendly welcome, clean rooms, and a good breakfast were provided. The monastery restaurant is located just below and was a great place for dinner.

The monastery, the church, and the surrounding area are well worth a visit. It's a special place, especially the forest chapel with its grotto. The path there (15 minutes) leads past the beautiful monastery pond. There's also another lovely view of Lake Chiemsee from there. It can get a bit crowded on weekends.
