The church dates back to the 13th century, and its walls fortunately survived the last war relatively well. However, the church's furnishings were largely destroyed in the war. The murals, which are believed to date from the 14th century, are particularly noteworthy.
St. Mary's Church in Anklam impresses from the outside with its imposing, artistic, and intricately detailed brick Gothic architecture! …
A beautiful, late Romanesque, Gothic Protestant church. The interior is very interesting. The frescoes are well-preserved. A very kind gentleman allowed us to complete our tour, even though the church was closed.
