Today it serves only as a cemetery church, though it was once a pilgrimage church. The tower is the oldest part and dates back to the Romanesque period. The nave and chancel were built in the Baroque style. Its unique location makes it a popular subject for photographs. Unfortunately, this remarkable church is often locked.
