Église Saint-Jacques : 51 Pl. Saint-Jacques, 34500 Béziers, France

Originally an abbey sitting outside the city walls of Bezier. The church is beautiful but not special, however the views from the grounds of the Orb, the Cathedral St Nazaire and the surrounding countryside make this site very worth a visit. There is also an imposing statue of Moses in the grounds.

Mentioned as early as the 9th century, the Church of Saint-Jacques is one of the oldest churches in Béziers. The building has been rebuilt many times over the centuries, but remains an excellent example of the second Mediterranean Romanesque style.
