Église Saint-Apollinaire
13 Rue de Montereau, 77148 Salins, France
Église Saint-Apollinaire is a catholic church located in Salins-les-Thermes.
It was built between the 13th and 15th centuries. The saint was brought from Italy by the local feudal lord, Simon le Cornu, who was very devoted to Saint Apollinaris, and therefore dedicated the church to him. The exterior porch was added in 1485 to hold meetings of the inhabitants who managed the parish's assets.
The ASPSSA (Association Salinoise Pour la Sauvegarde de Saint Apollinaire) has been working since 1997 in support of the town hall to preserve and restore this beautiful early 13th-century church. You can join our association and help us, as there is no shortage of work! Find us on social media and during Heritage Days!
The church was built in the 13th century, as evidenced by the carved keystones and altars. The porch dates from the 15th century.
