The recently renovated Church of Notre Dame de Montherault is a testament to the earliest forms of Romanesque architecture in Saintonge. The nave is built of rubble stone. Four or five ancient tombs are located within an enclosure surrounded by a stone wall. The interior is very simple.

Excellent renovation! Very impressed by the work. It's a shame there isn't a sign at the entrance with the history of the church and before/after photos.
