Église Saint-Martin de Josselin
Pl. Saint-Martin, 56120 Josselin, France
Église Saint-Martin de Josselin is a catholic church located in Josselin.
The foundation of the former priory dates back to 1105. The church became a parish church around 1400. The building reproduces the essential layout of the true Benedictine plan, making it an important milestone in Breton Romanesque architecture.
I'm fascinated by the Latin inscription. Can anyone translate? The church itself is firmly locked but the motorhome aire is in the carpark next to it. Josselin castle is quite a way downhill by the river so be prepared for an uphill walk home
Fantastic place
